What is Try Me / Demo Mode?
When you first purchase your Infinity X1 7000L flashlight, it may be set to Try Me Mode. This mode is used in stores so customers can quickly test the flashlight.
In Try Me Mode, the flashlight will quickly cycle through the modes, flash, and then automatically turn off, even if the batteries are fully charged.
How to Exit Try Me Mode
To take your flashlight out of Try Me Mode:
Press and hold the power button for 3-5 seconds. Until the light stays on
Then you can press the button to operate normally.
Remember, the Power Lock Mode has to be switched to the UNLOCK position.
Can I Re-Enable Try Me Mode?
Yes. By pressing and holding the power button for 3-5 seconds again, you can re-activate Try Me Mode, though this is rarely needed after purchase.

Disregard the previous message I was able to figure out the issue. Thanks
I pointed this thing at the sun and it squinted! NICE!!
I do love my Infinity 7000. I also had the 5000. I gave it to my daughter. I have a suggestion, though: if the Infinity 5000/7000 only has 4 modes, then why include a flashing mode while in the demo mode? That makes no sense. People, including me, will think that it is a mode also. Since it is not a mode, I recommend that you not have the flashing mode feature or include it as a mode. Again, just a recommendation.
Hi Shelby,
Thank you so much for sharing that suggestion. That’s great feedback! You’re absolutely right: the quick flash you see during Try Me Mode can definitely look like a “strobe” feature, even though it’s only part of the in-store demo cycle.
We’ve passed your feedback along to our product development team so they can consider adjusting that sequence in future models. In the meantime, we’ll make sure our Help Articles and packaging make this distinction clearer for everyone.
Thanks again for your thoughtful input and for being part of the Infinity X1 community!
