Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention — we really appreciate it.

To clarify, the Infinity X1 7000 Lumen Flashlight does not include a strobe mode. The brief flash you see during Try Me / Power Lock Mode is part of the in-store demo sequence and isn’t an active lighting mode during regular use.

There was a time when the Costco product page mistakenly showed a strobe icon, which understandably caused confusion. That listing has since been corrected so all information now matches the actual product specifications.

If you’re still seeing a reference to strobe mode online, could you please share a link to the page where you’re seeing it? That will help us make sure all listings are fully up to date.

We take customer feedback very seriously and have shared your comments with our Product Development team. A strobe feature is definitely something they can consider for future models, and feedback like yours truly helps guide those updates.

If you have any other suggestions or ideas, we’re always here and always listening.

    Hi Darrell,

Thanks for reaching out — glad to help clarify a few things.

    Battery Indicator Ring:
Here’s what the ring around the power button means (from the instruction manual):

    • Green: 72–100%
    • Orange: 37–71%
    • Red: 6–36%
    • Blinking Red: 5% or less

During charging, the red-to-green light near the USB-C IN port will show charging progress. This model charges via USB-C IN 5V/1.5A, and a standard 5V adapter works.

    Beam Focusing:
This flashlight adjusts focus by sliding the head forward or backward, not by twisting.

    • Slide forward for a narrower beam.
    • Slide back for a wider flood beam.

Let me know if you need any additional help.

As an update, I submitted a support ticket asking how to enter strobe mode and received a response stating,

The flashlight itself does not include a strobe function — that flashing you’re seeing is part of the demo sequence.”

This is disappointing because it was advertised to have a strobe mode, a function that flashlights costing less than half the price typically have.  Not the first time I've gotten the bait and switch from a product purchased at Costco, unfortunately.  My purchases of Infinity products ended with this flashlight as a result.

The beam focus is achieved by sliding the part around the bulb up or down…mine took a bit of effort to achieve this as it was rather tight

    Hi Robert,

Yes — you can safely use a 2.1A charger 👍

The Infinity X1 7000L flashlight will only draw the amount of current it needs. Even if the charger is capable of 2.1A, the flashlight regulates the input and charges at its designed rate (up to 5V / 1.5A).

Just make sure the charger is a standard 5V USB charger (not a fast-charge adapter that outputs higher voltages like 9V or 12V).

If you have any other questions, happy to help.

Nice design good weight and feel, should have a strap or clip and magnetic end.

Thanks so much for the feedback, Steve! Glad to hear you’re liking the design, weight, and feel. A strap, clip, or magnetic end are great suggestions - I’ll be sure to pass this along to our product team. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

I wish the instructions included the charging info and what the different colours around the power button mean. Still wish you'd kept the power indicator lights from the X1 5000L

One last thing – the InfinitX1 flashlights should have a way to focus the beam. Even cheap, dollar store flashlights do this, by twisting the head…it's a shame these don't. I'd prefer that while outside at night with my dogs

Can This be charged with a 2.1amp charger?

In the Try Me/Demo mode, the 7000 goes through bright and dim modes and then flashes.  When you take it out of Try Me/Demo mode, is there a setting for flash like the Demo mode seems to imply?

I would like to know how to activate the strobe too.  It shows that it has a strobe mode on the Costco web site:
